21-08-2007 Today we have sunshine all day for the first time. After a few hours of operation the generator suddenly stopped. This was caused by dirt in the benzine. After cleaning the carborator the generator worked fine again. Today we made a few contacts on 15 metres and many on 20 metres. Also we made a few contacts on 6 meters using JT6M. We are getting to know the PSKmail software now and are able to send a few emails. Tomorrow we will start packing our gear because we have to move everything with high tide around 18:00 local time. On thursday we will start our journey back home and expect to arrive on saturday. Thank you all for contacting us. We will update the website with pictures and additional info the coming days.

20-08-2007 Tryed to work sked with G0JHC on 6 meter JT6M tis morning but was unable to hear him. HT condx where not good in the morning so decided to get some more sleep. In the afternoon the weather became better and the condx on 20 meter also so made many contacts including a few JA, and W stations. Ruud went fishing again but did not succeed today. Well we will survive. Because we send this data using fsk on HF, we will not update the website with the HF log. Probably we will have internet next thursday and then we can update the website with logs and pictures. So stay tuned for more information.

19-08-2007 Again made many contacts on 20 meter but condx where not very good. Ruud went fishing today and caught a 30cm long one. This one we gave to torvald. Bacause we did not get hamburgers from the store Torvald gave us homamade fish burgers. We are running down on supply's a bit but are still able to survive.

Because the weather had calmed down we succeeded to set up the spiderbeam and make many contact on 20 metres. Unfortunately 15 metres is not open so we mainly made contacts on 20 metres, and on 6 metres with jt6m (see log section). The start of the lighthouse activation was succesfull, because this is the first time the utvaer lighthouse is activated.

4th and 5 th day of our travel (aug 16th and 17th)
16-08-2007 After a good nights rest. We started to get the rest of our gear. Because it is high tide now, Torvald helped us with a small boat to move all our equipment much closer to the schoolhouse. Unfortunately the weather is very severe today, and it was difficult do get the 2 meter beam up the rock.
From Ytre Sula we departed to Utvaer with the new Ferry. This is an ambulance boat which went very fast to Utvaer, where met our host Torvald who is very friendly. Unfortunately the ferry boat cannot come close to the schoolhouse where we stay. So we have to unload all our stuff and leave it in a barn for the night. We took our personal gear and carried it for about 600 metres over the rocks. Torvald told us we could use his generator so we decided to pick up the FT2000 and dipole antenne to set up the first part of the HF station.
At 8.00 we started driving via Forde to Risjedalsvikka. Unfortunately the ferry left just 30 min before arrival and we have to wait for another 3hrs to go to Krakhella. So we decided to get lunch in Laervik. Also we have now the last moment with internet connection. We will try updating the web site via Dick PA0GRU and Werner PA0FLE using PSKmail or PSK direct. We plan to arrive around 19:30 this evening on Utvaer and have to look if we can set up some antenna's. This is not easy because weather is severe now. Hopefully we are fully qrv tomorrow on HF and VHF.
